Privacy Policy

This page lays out what data we collect when you visit our site, how we use it, and when it might be shared with others. Using any page on this website means you accept the practices described here.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A query entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the name or case number and supplies its results. Johnson County Court Docket does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email or contact submission is retained as needed to answer it. Messages remain within the operating team unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

When a page loads, the servers automatically receive basic technical and usage information:

  • The IP address assigned to your device
  • Which browser you are using and its version
  • Your device type and operating system
  • The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
  • The site that sent you here, if any
  • Timestamps for each page view

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files placed on a device. They and analytics services help measure aggregate traffic, popular pages, and where visits end. Browser controls can block cookies, although some functions may then work differently.

What We Do With This Data

  • Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
  • Sending your search requests to the right partner service
  • Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
  • Tracking down and fixing technical issues
  • Showing ads that may line up with your interests

No Court-Record Data on File

Johnson County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of case records or dockets. It provides general directions to Patricia Glover, Clerk of Superior Court, other Johnson County courts, and official search routes. Georgia court-record access is governed by applicable court rules, O.C.G.A. § 15-6-60.1 for clerk-held Superior originals, and the Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. § 50-18-70 et seq., where that Act applies. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or a record about another person. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention rules, and sharing practices govern information submitted there. Review the applicable provider policy before running a query because this policy does not control that processing.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to Georgia court pages, PeachCourt, clerk resources, legal-aid organizations, or commercial services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy applies. Read it before providing personal information.

Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select advertisements.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be disclosed to:

  • Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
  • Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
  • Ad networks that place ads on our pages
  • Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for collected data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security or promise that a breach will never occur.

Users Under 18

This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Information identified as belonging to a minor will be deleted when a valid request is received.

Your Data Rights

Rights may vary by residence and applicable Georgia or federal privacy and consumer-protection law. The Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. § 50-18-70 et seq., governs access to qualifying government records, not private visitor data held by this site. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:

  • Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
  • Have us fix information that is wrong
  • Request that we erase your data
  • Opt out of certain kinds of data processing

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised. A new version becomes available on this page with its updated effective date.
